In the thick of the festive season, Davpack, a top-tier packaging provider in the UK, has embarked on a mission to identify the country’s prime online Christmas shoppers.
Whether you reign as the online shopping king or queen, meticulously arranging your digital purchases, or if you’re more inclined towards the charm of high-street shopping, the role of strong, reliable cardboard boxes in securing the safe delivery of your holiday gifts, pristinely packaged, is paramount.
The key question is: which UK region dominates the online shopping sphere? Davpack’s recent study, involving over 600 participants, was aimed at discovering the UK’s hotspots for online Christmas shopping. The findings provide an interesting snapshot of where the most avid online festive shoppers are based.
Topping the list are the inhabitants of the East of England, who have emerged as the leading online shoppers in the UK, averaging 30 online orders in preparation for Christmas. This statistic not only reflects a trend towards online shopping convenience but also marks the East of England as the country’s premier region for digital commerce.
Conversely, as we journey to the South, the narrative shifts. The survey indicates that South East residents are somewhat more restrained in their online gift-buying habits, with an average of 15 online orders during the festive season. Although impressive, this figure is only half of what’s observed in the East of England.
However, the most remarkable insight comes from London. Here, it appears that traditional shopping methods still reign, with Londoners placing the least online orders – averaging 14 per person over the Christmas period.
