Spacewell Energy Emerges as the New Identity of Dexma, Boasting Over 10,000 Customers Across 35 Countries

Dexma, a prominent provider of intelligent energy management tools for buildings, retail, and industry, has announced its rebranding as Spacewell Energy. The new name represents the company’s wide-ranging projects in both domestic and international markets.

Since its acquisition by multinational firm Spacewell in 2020, Spacewell Energy aims to strengthen its position as a leading energy management solution provider in Europe while expanding its presence in new global markets.

Spacewell Energy offers a comprehensive energy management tool powered by data intelligence. Its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution empowers facility and property managers, energy service providers, and consultants to monitor energy consumption, analyze usage patterns, identify inefficiencies, and detect anomalies in real-time. By optimizing building energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, businesses can effectively manage their energy consumption.

Automated energy data management solutions play a crucial role in minimizing the environmental impact of organizations and building portfolios. Leveraging artificial intelligence, these tools generate valuable insights into building behavior, leading to reduced energy costs, better resource utilization, and enhanced overall performance.

Spacewell Energy: Addressing the Evolving Needs of Organizations

The adoption of the new corporate name signifies the successful integration process initiated in 2020 when Dexma merged with Spacewell, a technology company under the Nemetschek multinational umbrella. Xavi Novella, appointed as the Managing Director, emphasizes the company’s commitment to meeting the challenges posed by changing technology and organizational requirements. Novella states, “At Spacewell Energy, we strive to respond to these new challenges, building upon our achievements thus far and looking ahead with optimism and a growth-oriented mindset.”

Over 40% of Spacewell Energy’s workforce specializes in designing and developing energy management solutions. The company remains dedicated to supporting businesses and organizations in adopting responsible energy consumption practices, leading to cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint.

Beware of Lesser-Known Registration Plate Rules: Car Expert Warns of £1,000 Fines

0

A car expert has sounded the alarm on lesser-known registration plate rules that could result in drivers facing hefty fines of up to £1,000.

Jon Kirkbright, the sales director at Platehunter, a specialist in buying and selling private number plates, has emphasized the importance of staying informed about changes in regulations pertaining to number plates. With 11 years of industry experience, Kirkbright is well-versed in the intricacies of these rules.

One particular issue highlighted by the car expert is the practice of rearranging letters and numbers on number plates to create desirable words. However, he strongly advises motorists against doing so, as it can lead to significant penalties.

According to the Government, “Number plates (also known as licence plates) must show your registration number correctly. You cannot rearrange letters or numbers, or alter them so that they’re hard to read. Failure to comply may result in fines of up to £1,000, and your vehicle will fail its MOT test if driven with incorrectly displayed number plates.”

The current format for vehicle registration numbers was introduced in 2001 and consists of two letters indicating the region of registration, two numbers denoting the year of issue, and three random letters.

Kirkbright cautioned, “Some individuals may attempt to change the spacing on their number plates in an effort to make them resemble words or names more closely. However, by doing so, drivers run the risk of incurring costly fines.”

For those seeking number plates with specific combinations of letters or numbers, there are legal options available in the form of personalized number plates.

Platehunter, a trusted number plate supplier with 11 years of experience and over 56 million personalized number plates for sale, prides itself on providing affordable options starting from just £39 plus VAT and transfer fees.

However, altering the arrangement of letters and numbers is not the only concern that could result in fines for drivers. There are other rules that must be followed, including regulations regarding the color of the characters.

According to guidelines, number plates on vehicles must:

  • Be made from a reflective material
  • Display black characters on a white background (front plate)
  • Display black characters on a yellow background (rear plate)
  • Not feature a background pattern
  • Be marked to indicate the plate supplier
  • Bear a British Standard number (BS AU 145e) for plates fitted after September 1, 2021

The characters on the plates must not be removable or reflective, and if the number plates were fitted after September 1, 2021, they must be a single shade of black.

Additionally, number plates can have raised (3D) characters, display specific flags, symbols, and identifiers, or feature a green flash if the vehicle is zero-emission.

To avoid falling foul of the law, Kirkbright advises drivers to purchase number plates only from reputable dealers. He stresses the importance of ensuring that the seller is approved by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency). At Platehunter, number plates that comply with all font, color, spacing, and size regulations can be obtained for just £25, including delivery, with same-day dispatch possible depending on the order time.

For individuals interested in purchasing private number plates that resemble names, initials, or meaningful words, Platehunter’s website is recommended. In cases where the desired plates are not available, customers can provide their specifications, and they will be notified if a matching plate becomes available. Platehunter can also arrange for auctioning of any DVLA-issued number plate, as long as it is legal and has never been used before.

For further information or assistance with purchasing or selling a private number plate, visitors can explore Platehunter‘s website. Alternatively, Platehunter can be contacted and followed on  InstagramTwitter or Facebook.

Valuable Advice for Motorists to Avoid Costly Penalties for Number Plate Errors

0

Motorists Given a Timely Reminder about Recent Changes to Number Plate Regulations

Motorists are being strongly advised to ensure their number plates comply with the latest regulations in order to avoid substantial fines or even failure of their car’s MOT test.

Leading the industry in personalized registrations, National Numbers has issued a warning to drivers, especially those who have purchased a new vehicle or replaced their number plates since September 2021 when the law underwent changes.

Under the updated regulations, the use of number plates featuring printed 3D-style digits or employing two-tone effects, such as carbon fibre patterns with black and grey lettering, has been strictly prohibited. Instead, the new standards mandate the use of solid black digits, guaranteeing a clear contrast between the background and the letters. This contrast is vital for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, enabling them to accurately identify vehicles on the road, even at high speeds and during both day and night.

All newly produced number plates must adhere to the enhanced British Standard BS AU 145e, which replaced BS AU 145d two years ago. This change was implemented to address concerns related to road safety and law enforcement. Additionally, plates manufactured according to the new standard are more resistant to abrasion, ensuring prolonged durability despite exposure to dirt, road grime, and jet washing.

David Edwards, the operations director at National Numbers, the UK’s longest-standing dealer in personalized registrations, expressed concern about the number of drivers who remain unaware of these requirements, leaving them susceptible to avoidable fines. He emphasized that since the recent changes came into effect in late 2021, traffic authorities are unlikely to show leniency towards those claiming ignorance after being stopped. Consequently, National Numbers strongly urges every driver to ensure their number plates comply with the law.

Failure to display legally compliant number plates can result in fines of up to £1,000, and a vehicle will fail its MOT test if stopped with non-compliant plates. In some cases, the registration number may even be permanently withdrawn. Furthermore, insurance companies may view such offenses unfavorably, potentially leading to the refusal of claims following an accident if the number plates are not road legal.

Thankfully, motorists have a variety of legal options available for replacing their number plates. Traditional acrylic plates, featuring solid black printed digits, are widely used and fully compliant with the new regulations, offering clear visibility and legibility. An increasing number of drivers are opting for “3D” and “4D” plates, which incorporate modern gel digits and solid black acrylic digits, respectively. These alternatives provide a distinct finish and comply with the rules as long as the digits are non-removable.

Car owners are encouraged to visit our website, where they can explore a wide range of alternative number plate formats.

Penstripe Explores the Importance and Science Behind Utilising Physical Teacher Planners

0

In spite of the rise of digital solutions in recent times, Penstripe has discovered that many teachers still hold a preference for the humble teacher planner. Ranging from simple notepads to intricate lesson plan templates, physical planners have remained an indispensable part of assisting teachers in organising their daily and weekly schedules while managing an ever-growing list of administrative tasks.

Amidst these technological advancements, physical teacher planners continue to play a vital role in the digital age owing to their multitude of benefits. One of the primary advantages is the tangible organisation they provide. The ease of use and quick access to information allow teachers to effortlessly flip through the pages and jot down notes without the need to navigate through various digital applications and interfaces. By utilising physical planners, teachers can reduce screen time, minimise distractions, and enhance their focus and concentration during the planning process.

Another benefit lies in the opportunity for creativity and personalisation that physical planners offer. Educators can customise their planners by selecting the layout, design, and organisational structure that best aligns with their individual needs. This sense of ownership can make the planning process more enjoyable and fulfilling. Customisation can be achieved either by purchasing a tailor-made teacher planner or by personalising one after purchase—or even by doing both.

Physical planners also provide a reliability that digital solutions cannot always guarantee. Free from reliance on technology or internet access, physical planners can be used anywhere and at any time. Additionally, they offer longevity and durability, with planners designed to last an entire academic year or even longer.

The Science Behind the Use of Physical Planners Research has indicated that handwriting offers cognitive benefits that typing on a digital device cannot replicate. Writing by hand improves memory retention and helps teachers gain a better understanding of and internalise the material they are planning. Furthermore, the psychological advantages of physical planning should not be overlooked. Engaging with a tangible planner can reduce stress, increase satisfaction, and boost motivation.

Ultimately, the choice between digital and physical planning depends on personal preference. Many individuals tend to lean towards what they were accustomed to while growing up, making physical planning the preferred option for a significant number of current teachers.

The Role of Physical Planners in a Digital World While physical planners possess numerous inherent benefits, they can also effectively complement digital tools. Many educators adopt a hybrid approach, integrating both physical and digital methods to support diverse learning environments and cater to individual needs.

Physical planners also accommodate various teaching styles, granting educators the autonomy to choose the method that works best for them. By providing a range of options, we can support teacher autonomy and foster a more collaborative, inclusive educational environment.

Lastly, physical planners help bridge the generational gap among educators. As some teachers may still favor traditional planning methods, offering a choice between physical and digital tools encourages collaboration and understanding among educators with different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Thus, in 2023, physical teacher planners continue to occupy a significant position in the realm of education. Their tangible nature, creative potential, and cognitive benefits make them invaluable tools for educators navigating an increasingly digital landscape. While digital solutions have their place, it is crucial to acknowledge the ongoing relevance of physical planners and encourage educators to select the tools that best align with their needs and preferences.

The Continued Significance of Physical Student Planners, according to Penstripe

0

In today’s fast-paced digital age, Penstripe highlights the enduring value of physical student planners in the academic landscape. While digital solutions have gained popularity, physical planners remain relevant and necessary for students in 2023 due to their numerous benefits, contributing to their continued relevance in the modern world.

Physical student planners offer tangible organisation, providing ease of use and quick access to information. Students can effortlessly flip through the pages to find important dates or assignments without worrying about technical knowledge or software updates. This tangibility promotes enhanced focus and concentration by reducing screen time and minimising distractions.

Moreover, physical planners allow for creativity and personalisation, enabling students to customise their organisation system using coloured pens, stickers, or washi tape. Designing and maintaining a physical planner fosters a sense of ownership and pride, increasing motivation and commitment to academic tasks. Teachers can also purchase bespoke customised physical student planners to add a personal touch.

Reliability is another key advantage of physical planners, as they do not depend on technology or internet access. They are not prone to crashes or data loss and can withstand everyday wear and tear, making them a dependable resource in any situation.

The scientific evidence supporting the benefits of physical planners is also growing. Handwriting has cognitive benefits, including improved memory retention and better understanding of material, as it engages multiple parts of the brain. The act of physically crossing off completed tasks in a planner contributes to psychological benefits such as stress reduction, increased satisfaction, and motivation.

Physical planners continue to play a vital role in the digital age by complementing and integrating with modern technologies. They can integrate with digital tools, supporting diverse learning environments and offering flexibility and adaptability. By accommodating individual preferences and emphasising student autonomy, physical planners empower students to take control of their academic lives. They also bridge generational gaps, catering to students who prefer traditional organisation methods and fostering collaboration between students, educators, and parents.

In 2023, physical student planners remain of great importance. Their cognitive and psychological benefits, combined with their ability to integrate with digital tools and support diverse learning styles, make them a valuable asset for students of all ages.
