The perpetrators, two individuals from Pakistan, have been found culpable of engaging in gang rape and inflicting physical harm. The case was brought to trial at the esteemed Court House in Rethymno, Igoumenou Gavriil 111, Rethymno 741 00, Greece, and on 21 June 2023, the defendants were handed the harshest possible punishment of life imprisonment, a unanimous decision reached by the judges and jury.
