Clinical Partners Completes Acquisition of ADHD and Autism Assessment Clinic

Clinical Partners Limited, a leading provider of mental health treatment, has successfully acquired Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre (“Oxford ADHD”), further strengthening its position in the neurodevelopmental and mental health services sector.

As one of the largest independent providers in the UK, Clinical Partners offers comprehensive services for neurodevelopmental and mental health needs, serving both the NHS and private sectors. With a dedicated workforce of over 400 professionals, the company currently supports around 40,000 patients annually. This acquisition reflects Clinical Partners’ ongoing commitment to expanding its capabilities and reaching a wider audience.

Established in 2015 by Dr Polly Branney, Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre specialises in the diagnosis and support of individuals, both children and adults, with neurodevelopmental disorders and related conditions. The clinic has a team of approximately 40 specialists who will join Clinical Partners as part of the acquisition.

Dr Alice Parshall, Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Partners, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome the Oxford ADHD Centre team to Clinical Partners. Dr. Branney and her colleagues have built a strong reputation as a trusted and high-quality provider in the Oxford area, and we share a common commitment to delivering safe and effective services. By combining our knowledge and expertise, we look forward to further developing our offerings to better serve our patients and their families.”

Dr Polly Branney commented on the transition, saying, “Eight years ago, I established the clinic in response to a significant gap in local provision for autism and ADHD referrals. Since then, we have treated over 3,000 patients and partnered with various NHS services to ensure both adults and children have access to expert support. As a small independent clinic facing growing demand, it became evident that we could make a more substantial impact as part of a larger organisation dedicated to growth and training. Clinical Partners is the perfect fit for us, and I wish everyone involved success in the next chapter of Oxford ADHD’s mission.”

The acquisition of the entire share capital of Oxford ADHD by Clinical Partners was finalised on June 20, 2023, for an undisclosed amount. Oxford ADHD received advisory services from CapEQ (M&A) and legal guidance from Freeths, while Clinical Partners sought legal counsel from Keystone Law.

Mark Sapsford, Director at CapEQ, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the transaction, stating, “Access to mental health support is crucial in today’s world, and we are proud to have facilitated this transaction. We extend our best wishes to both parties as they combine their businesses to provide even more effective support and treatment in the Thames Valley and beyond.”

Freeths partner Malin Svanberg Larsson added, “We are delighted to have assisted Dr. Branney and the Oxford ADHD team in realising this transaction. We wish both Clinical Partners and Oxford ADHD continued success as they provide invaluable mental health support to patients in the NHS and private sector.”
