In accordance with the BS IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition, codes AG2-AG3, it is advised to use reinforced protection in locations at risk of medium or high impact. The IET Code of Practice for EV Charging Equipment Installation mandates that equipment in publicly accessible areas be equipped to withstand impacts of at least AG2 severity, as defined in BS76741 (18th Edition).
