Jazz Phenomenon Alfie Opens Exclusive Club in Soho

In a daring venture poised to transform the Soho evening landscape, Alfie, the renowned jazz aficionado cat, is unveiling his very own establishment, Alfie’s Private Members Jazz Club, this week on Greek St. Having gained fame mingling with luminaries such as Sir Michael Palin, Eddie Izzard, and Emma Thompson at The Piano Bar Soho, Alfie has now chosen to step into the limelight himself.

Alfie’s club, equipped with a studio grand piano, a star-ready stage, and Roland’s cutting-edge sound system, is Soho’s latest zenith of nocturnal entertainment. Linked with the artistic Union club, this fresh haunt aims to be the go-to venue for experiencing London’s premier jazz talents, courtesy of the producers at Soho Live Studios, known for their acclaimed label and the Soho Jazz Festival.

Tonight’s grand launch is set to dazzle with a captivating rendition of the club’s anthem “Alfie” by Jazz FM’s Vocalist of the Year, Cherise, heralding a night filled with memorable tunes and stories of the legendary Jazz Cat.

George Hudson, Soho’s impresario and Alfie’s caretaker, shared, “Alfie’s not just any cat; he’s embraced the Soho culture and whenever any of our stars pop by to film or record he can’t help but get involved. You can check out some encounters on his Instagram @sohojazzcat, when Stephen Fry was in, he fully understood it was about time he had his own bar! This new club is his legacy, a place where the past and present of jazz collide, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve got lined up.”

The ticket office is now welcoming bookings for nightly live performances, extending an invite for club membership to those drawn to the beats, offering an exclusive glimpse into Soho’s musical core at Alfie’s and more, for a mere £35 annually.

Noteworthy events include the weekly Alfie’s Jazz Jam, spotlighting both up-and-coming and renowned artists, alongside The Night Train, a weekend event blending late-night music and cocktails.

The club’s design, a tribute to Soho’s vibrant sixties, marries vintage style with contemporary art, presently showcasing pieces by David Ferry. Alfie’s is more than a club; it’s a journey back in time, martini in hand.

Located on the first floor at 49 Greek St., Alfie’s invites you to explore a realm where jazz reigns supreme, under the stewardship of a feline impresario. Membership and booking details are accessible online at http://www.alfiessoho.com, your passport to Soho’s newest myth.

This is no ordinary jazz venue; this is Alfie’s. Here, the music feels personal, the drinks are cool, and the evenings are etched in memory. Are you prepared to become part of the legend?
