Make Believe Unveils ‘Mums Mean Business’ Campaign to Empower Mothers with Entrepreneurial Ambitions

In an inspiring move, Make Believe, the UK’s rapidly expanding extra-curricular franchise, has launched a novel campaign aimed at motivating mothers to re-enter the workforce. The ‘Mums Mean Business’ initiative is designed to help mothers balance professional aspirations with family responsibilities by establishing their own flexible theatre school businesses.

This month marks the beginning of Make Believe’s new support scheme, ‘Mums Mean Business’, aimed at aiding mothers in re-establishing their careers in a manner that aligns with their familial commitments and personal ambitions. The scheme offers guidance to prospective franchisees, assisting them in choosing a location, recruiting skilled teachers to captivate and maximise children’s potential, and attracting students through targeted marketing support and business advice.

The initiative spotlights four mothers who have bravely ventured into running their own theatre schools. These women manage performing arts groups in various locations, including Barking, Highgate, Ware, Harlow, and others, joining Make Believe’s extensive UK network.

Joel Kern, the founder and managing director of Make Believe, expressed his pride in the endeavour, stating: “We’re so proud of everyone who decides to take the chance to create their own performing art schools and run their own business, and that includes our four ambassadors; Kat, Emma, Sally and Wahida. Launching our Mums Mean Business scheme will hopefully help us to empower and support hundreds more mums that want to work again after having children or create a business that works for them but still allows them to be there for every important moment in their families’ lives. There’s a huge network of support to help anyone considering starting a Make Believe business as well as creating a business that makes such a huge difference in childrens’ lives and teaches them skills for life.”

He further added, “Make Believe has grown to the size that it is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the mums involved, and we can’t wait to welcome more into the family.”
